The Mezz are a feel good, indie-rock band from Oxford, England formed of 4 lads from the local area. Their personality shines through the music produced; you’re bound to never forget them after your first listen. Playing at their first, fan-voted festival this year with BBC Introducing at Truck Festival, there is a bright future ahead for this charismatic team who already have a loyal fanbase.

Some classic Mezzy songs include: Chasing Love, Lipstick Adderall and Jump to Fly… but today we’re here to listen to and review their BRAND NEW (2 months late from us) SINGLE - BRIDGES.

The Mezz - Bridges (Official Music Video)

Bridges is a catchy, bouncy, resilient reminder to tackle the self doubt you’re feeling when it comes to being who you are, and not following who society wants you to be. Something I believe we can all relate to.

After researching what the song meant to the band, on the event information for their EP Release Show (Link below), their Lead singer, Ben Comley describes the song as, "My heartfelt struggle with the world's demands on personality and appearance.” “It's a constant back-and-forth, a battle between genuine happiness and the allure of conforming to societal norms for wider acceptance."

Are we late to the party? You can never be late when it comes to good music. But be early for Harbour the Feeling (Pre-save Link), being released on January 17th & their next EP!!

They are set to be releasing their EP on Friday 8th of March 2024 at Oxford, The Bullingdon, and it’s one to put in the calendar - this band will be going places. Trust me.
